Woohoo, October! The month of Halloween, eek—I love it. Not the weather, of course (rain, rain, rain!) but the atmosphere. And I've got some great updates for you, plus news on two new books releasing in November. Yey!

Bullet Journal Madness!
I LOVE bullet journaling and this month got a bit addicted to stationary and watching all the amazing creativity videos on YouTube. I also bought Ryder Carrol's BuJo book (the official creator of the bullet journal) and am loving it!
My bullet journal this month, newly purchased, is a mermaid A5 hardback with page numbers, mini-dots, a pocket and rounded pages from Citrus Book Bindery in the UK. It has three page markers and an open lay-flat spine, plus silver tipped corner protectors. You can check out their website here.
My stationary 'haul' this month included four packs of the Zebra Mildliners, a pack of the pink/purple Uni Emott's (which I think are my all-time favourites, bought from Paperchase, UK), Gelly Roll gel pens in orange, pink, white, gold and silver, glitter washi tapes, double-sided sticky tape, anime brush tip pens in grey and black (from The Works, UK) along with fine liners in a variety of colours, craft knives and a circle cutter, plus rubbers and a new black cat fluffy pencil case (because, well... y'know). I also bought (from TK Maxx), a tape roller dispenser (a bit like a correction tape mouse) so I can easily stick in my drawings and doodles.
Let me know in the comments or on social media if you'd be interested in a 'plan with me' spread or video on my YouTube channel for any bullet journal addicts out there.
I'm aware I have a problem. I'm dealing with it... Stationary fans, raise your hands?!
I thought I'd brighten your October with a few of my appalling attempts to re-create some artwork for my own (which is a beautiful dotted journal from Citrus Book Bindery in the UK, created to my specifications).
During a shopping trip with a friend and BETA reader in Bradford's Waterstones, we left a few of my business cards on the noticeboard inside (near the YA section). If you're local, pop in and see if you can find them!
Impact Radio USA - July-August 2019
A huge thank you to Dr. Paul's Family Talk/Paul Reeves for interviewing both my father, David Hardcastle and Pamela A. Pedder in two separate interviews across July-August 2019.
We now have the recordings of these interviews, which you can listen to on my YouTube channel at any time.

Morley Indie Book Fair 2019
Though I was unable to attend as an author, I visited Morley Book Fair this year on 05/10/2019 with a friend and BETA reader to support those who could. The fair was hosted at the Church of the Nazarene and celebrated the works of a variety of indie authors from across the UK. Here were just a few of them, who were happy to be featured in this month's newsletter.
I also made a sneaky purchase (because I don't have enough books already...?) from author Debbie Ioanna, who kindly supported us during our Keighley WHSmith signing, sending me a photo of our display in passing.
It was a real pleasure to meet you all, and I hope to see you again at a future event - the very best of luck with your books.
Miss Ruby Heart
A quick shout out to the wonderful Miss Ruby Heart for two brilliant book reviews on your platform. Be sure to check them out on my YouTube channel for both Bluetooth & the World Wide Web by David Hardcastle (and me!) and Moving Day by Pamela A. Pedder.
You can visit her Facebook page via https://www.facebook.com/MissRubyHeart1/
Also be sure to check out FB @RoseEnglish.UK.Author!
Thank you to author Rose English for sending these to me and allowing us to use them.
The Queen's Visit
Pamela A. Pedder's second Berty Bee story, The Queen's Visit, will be released on November 3rd 2019 in paperback and e-book. You can pre-order the paperback book by clicking this link! I'm thrilled to include the colourful cover here in my October update - illustrated by Chris Moss and inspired by the Moving Day cover, illustrated by Pam's son, Mark Edwards.
We were really pleased to see little James enjoying Moving Day in the picture below. You can see Pam's husband Andy trying on a new character costume too for her upcoming book signing at WHSmith Keighley on October 19th 2019.
Please join me in wishing Pamela a very happy birthday this month, too!
On October 12th, we visited Meadowhall, Sheffield for a book signing at WHSmith. Due to unforeseen personal circumstances, we were without a mascot this time for our Bluetooth & the World Wide Web book, yet we were still thrilled with the turnout. We met some wonderful people and a few aspiring authors too!
Thanks for having us, WHSmith. We look forward to working with you again in the future!
Book of the Day!
A huge shout out to the blog Magnificent Mommas for featuring two Curious Cat books on your website this month. Moving Day by Pamela A. Pedder was named 'Book of the Month' for October 13th and Bluetooth & the World Wide Web for Oct 14th!
Be sure to check these out via the links below and support their blog if you can.
That's it for this month so far, but there's lots more to come. Be sure to check back in my October Pt.2 update at the end of the month. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this, and I hope to hear from some of you soon!
