Monthly Meow: May 2020, Pt.1

Behind the Scenes with CCB!

This month, I held a Skype-based author meeting with some of my talented writers. We discussed a range of topics, and some of the points are valid not only for my team, but for authors everywhere!

So, I put together this video, collecting my main points and advice for you to check out on YouTube. If you like this content, please consider subscribing to my channel and hitting that thumbs up for more!

Tip Me over on 'Buy Me a Coffee'

Curious Cat Books is now available on 'Buy Me A Coffee', where you can donate and tip me for a job well done, or support my creative mission.

When you choose to 'buy me a coffee', your donation contributes towards the progression and development of my company. With your support, I'll be in a position to hire other freelancers and professionals to join my team! The more employees we can add, the more books we can publish every year (and that means the more authors we can help!).

Covid-19 Mask

Having seen another YouTube tutorial (and having way too much time on my hands for once), I decided to give this a go as a bit of fun and try to make a Covid-19 mask from an old scarf and some headbands. Check it out here:

John Brookes Releases Henry!

Congratulations to debut author John Brookes from Bradford, West Yorkshire. On May 1st 2020, John released his middle-grade short story 'Henry' with Curious Cat Books.

Despite Covid-19 posing a slight roadblock with each of this year's launches, I'm thrilled to tell you John's book is already doing really well, and with your support and encouragement, John can continue to raise money through his sales for charity.

Henry is available now via Amazon, direct through the CCB shop or digitally via a bunch of your favourite retailers. Click here!

Fun Unboxing Videos

This month, I received a bunch of stationary and writing-related goodies in the mail. I decided to do a few exciting unboxings for you on my YouTube channel.

I was really excited to have the opportunity to speak to author Natalie Roberts about her book, Write Through Depression, especially now when we are all struggling with the Covid-19 restrictions. Natalie has some great advice to share with us.

Catching Up With Bryan Aiello!

This month, it's also been great to catch up with my friend in the USA, author Bryan Aiello. In Episode 6 of the Stay Curious Podcast, Bryan put up with my complaining and b*tching about my own fiction and the publishing industry. As always, it makes for an interesting listen!

Welcome back, Kristen!

A quick shout out and thank you to the wonderful and talented Kristen Martin who returned for a second interview on the CCB blog!

In 2018, I interviewed Kristen and she featured on the White Room Podcast (YouTube) a few times, talking about her books and her writing processes. Now, 2 years later, she's returned to answer some more of our questions.
