Monthly Meow - August-September 2020

I love September, partly because it's my birthday month and (for this year) because it saw the release of another E. Rachael Hardcastle title.

As I'm sure you know by now, the Monthly Meow is split in two parts (the first on my website - right here - for personal updates and a second over on the CCB site for my authors). If you haven't checked those out in a while, head over there by September 30th to see what we've been getting up to.

This month, I turned 29. The big 3-0 is looming, but thankfully I have another 12 months to dread it! I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes, cards and gifts both in my personal and working life. I'm lucky to have the support of wonderful friends and family, but as an author I'd be nothing without the encouragement of my readers and the authors signed to my company.

You guys rock!

Finding Pandora is #1... again!

I'm so lucky! After several months at full price, I decided to set Finding Pandora: World, which is book one in my YA high fantasy series, back to perma-free again on all your favourite platforms. I love being able to reach readers all over the world and offer them something they can enjoy completely free of charge, hoping they enjoy my work enough to read one of my other titles and become a fan of the characters and worlds I create.

After setting my e-book price to zero again in all territories, I was stunned to see that readers in Germany were loving FP1 so much, their downloads pushed the title all the way to no.1 on Amazon's free listings in three categories (and on Amazon overall!). I was so pleased with the result, I just had to capture some pictures so I could remember the feeling.

Imagine waking up to four full days of seeing FP1 in this position on Amazon.de! I can't thank my readers enough for their support, and I really hope you all love the book and want to continue Arriette's story through the other three. I already announced I'm working on The Resurrection of Pandora for 2021, and it would be great to share that with you too.

Subscribe to my newsletter to download your FREE Pandora omnibus HERE. You'll receive book one and two in the series completely free of charge. PLUS, leave me a review of these titles (either separately or of the omnibus) and I'll send you the second omnibus to complete the series absolutely FREE! Your feedback must be 100% honest.

Launching Merchandise

Eek! I launched my Curious Cat Books merchandise a few weeks ago, offering writerly designs on hoodies, t-shirts, mugs and more. You can check out my new range HERE, and enjoy print on demand masks to keep you safe during the Covid-19 lockdown.

I love these designs and really hope to add to them - what else would you like to see in my store?

You can still claim money off a signed paperback book from my online store when you order £20+ worth of merchandise with Teespring. This offer will run until the 1st October 2020 - time is running out! Be sure to claim your discount ASAP and avoid missing out. Here are the books available in the signed paperback deal.

Watch me unbox my own event hoodie in the video (and this design is still available in a range of sizes and colours!):

Noah Finn & the Art of Conception - A Successful Release!

On September 1st, I released a brand new novella, Noah Finn & the Art of Conception, and I'm so thrilled with how well the title is selling so far. Thank you to anyone who agreed to BETA read and provide reviews, and to everyone ordering copies! NFAOC is the sequel to Noah Finn & the Art of Suicide, which I released back in 2017. It's a visionary novella following Maria Shephard as she struggles to learn the lessons necessary for the afterlife she wants. Here's the book's description:

There are two things Maria Shephard knows for sure at this moment.

There is no God.

She will die on Christmas Day.

Marshal Shephard, the man in the passenger seat, isn't moving or speaking. But he's looking directly at her.

There are flashing lights in Maria's peripheral vision. A voice asks if she can move her legs.

She hates that she can't.

She hates that she's still here.

Noah Finn checks his watch.

It's almost time...

You can catch up with book one by clicking HERE. Both books are available in paperback and e-book formats.

If you've read the book either as a BETA or as a reader, I'd love to hear your thoughts and as always, book reviews on Amazon or any other platform are greatly appreciated and super helpful. Remember, you don't have to purchase a book on Amazon to leave a review there - if you're a regular user of the platform, you can review any item (just add a short note as a disclaimer!).

Thanks for the shout out!

I wanted to say a huge congratulations to Jenna Moreci for the release of her sequel The Savior's Sister. I've been following Jenna's videos on Youtube for a while now (I recommend you subscribe) and sent her some copies of Noah Finn (book 1) as a thanks for her support. I'm also super excited to get stuck in to her sequel - thanks for the shout out on your channel, Jenna. I hope you enjoy the story.
