Since I have almost filled up my Moleskine Classic Peter Pan journal (I ramble, so there's no way I can stretch it through to the end of December!), I decided to begin a fresh personal journal on December 1st 2020, and carry this through into the new year.
I'm a HUGE Lilo & Stitch fan, and for Christmas 2019 I unwrapped a beautiful Disney Store journal, which I've been too afraid to use until now. You know when a notebook is just sooo pretty, you don't want to ruin how perfect it is with your untidy scribbles? Well, so far it's been sat shimmering on my bookshelf, taunting me: "Your handwriting will never be good enough for me..."
WHAT I LOOK FOR IN A JOURNAL
Surely, you can pick up any notebook and pen and start writing? I hear you ask. And you absolutely can. If you're in a supermarket and come across an Oxford branded notebook, I used these in high school and LOVE the paper quality.
However, journaling is a personal and therapeutic hobby for me, and I like to choose items that speak to my creativity—it should make me want to use it every single day. I like pretty designs, anything pink or aqua blue (as you can probably tell from the past 2 journals I've featured!), and I LOVE a cute cover.
I usually prefer an A5 size with a perfect-bound hardback exterior and a single marker ribbon, and if that journal lays flat then it's a bonus. I find hardbacks are sturdier and harder to bend, tear and ruin when they're shoved in a handbag or a backpack, plus they better protect the contents.
Oh, and a journal with plenty of pages is a must (because I fill at least 1 full spread a day). Yep, I'm a talker...
WHY THE LILO & STITCH DISNEY STORE JOURNAL?
Because LOOK AT IT! What's not to love about this journal? It's a dazzling sparkle blue and has plenty of pages. Plus, it features my all-time favourite Disney character on the front cover AND on every page in the bottom corners!
I cannot wait to try this, and only hope I don't fall too much in love in case I can't get any more online. This was a 2019 product through the Disney Store, but they are always releasing new journals and stationery which you can check out here: https://www.shopdisney.co.uk/
Try not to be too jealous of my journal choice for December 2020. I'm sure at some point in the next few months I'll be back with a review of what this was like, as it's rare that I stray too far from my Moleskine or Leuchtturm brands. Wish me luck!
Please check the website policy regarding links and recommendations. I am not currently a Disney affiliate - this journal was a gift and discussing it here on my blog is a personal choice.
