June 2019 Update [Pt.1]

Wow! What an awesome month this is turning out to be! I have lots to share with you in this journal update, including the pre-order availability for our first release by an external independent author! Let's get stuck in!

News4Trafford

The online news site News4Trafford published two articles recently about Curious Cat Books, promoting each of our big releases! On the 11th June, News4Trafford announced Pamela A. Pedder's children's book, which will be featured at the Intu Trafford Centre. Read all about it [here].

Back on the 16th April, they also published the following about Bluetooth & the World Wide Web! Click [here] to read it.

Cover Reveal for 'Moving Day' by Pamela A. Pedder

Curious Cat Books is pleased to reveal the cover for Moving Day, a children's book (3-5 years) by our first independent author, Pamela A. Pedder.

Moving Day by Pamela A. Pedder - Release Date 01/07/2019

Moving Day tells the story of Berty, a bee who is struggling to pay his rent to Baggy the beetle. Berty and his friend Colin Caterpillar must come up with a quick solution. This gorgeously illustrated children's book will be released in paperback and e-book formats on July 1st 2019, and will be available to pre-order at the end of June.

With special thanks to Pamela's son, Mark Edwards, for the beautiful images and cover artwork.

The 8x10" gloss cover edition will appear at two of my events throughout July, so be sure to visit and check it out! Here's the really exciting stuff, however, because after making Pamela wait all day to open her first ever printed copy of Moving Day, in this video we film her first unboxing - and there are, naturally, a few tears of joy!

We also made sure to capture the moment Pamela signed her first ever printed book! Congratulations, Pamela!

Both Pamela and I would like to extend a huge thank you to Windhill Community Centre and all the staff there who have assisted and hosted us over these past few months. Your support and encouragement has really helped this process to run smoothly, and I know Pamela is so grateful for your help.

And from myself, I'd just like to say how proud I am of Pamela for all her hard work and dedication; she is so passionate about what she does.

Bluetooth & the World Wide Web BETA Readers

On June 28th 2019, my father and I will be releasing our first co-written children's book! Pre-orders have been a huge success, and we are so thrilled with how excited you all are to own a full colour paperback edition. The book is yet to be featured at events (but believe me, there are LOTS booked already!), so we encourage anyone who doesn't live local or who isn't planning to travel to one of our events to purchase online for a fast delivery, or to download it direct to your device.

We were thrilled to hear our BETA readers safely received their signed copies of Bluetooth & the World Wide Web this month, along with some special thank you goodies for all their hard work!

Beta Readers Lacey and Evie with their book!

And we even received a cute photo of a dog named Charlie enjoying the book, too!

Charlie Dog from Harrogate, enjoying the book!

Royal Radio Interview

My father and I would like to say a big thank you to Paul Reeves of Dr Paul's Family Talk, Impact Radio Detroit USA for having us on his show this month. We were thrilled to chat about the new book and our co-writing relationship.

You can listen to the interview on Paul's podcast by clicking [here] and be sure to subscribe to his show!

That's it for Part 1 of this month's update - check back at the end of June for Part 2 as we celebrate the release of Bluetooth & the World Wide Web! Thanks so much for your continued support.
