There are so many options when it comes to buying journaling supplies that sometimes, we can drown in stationery as we browse, even just on one website! This week, I spent some time gathering my favourite supplies and the things I use every day to save you time, stress and money.
You can (of course!) go to any shop and buy the things you prefer. Any notebook and pen will do to start a journal, and there is absolutely no need to rush out and buy fancy or expensive items just because others are doing it. For those of you in the market for them, though, here are some handy links to the products I use/own/love.
THE PENS I RECOMMEND
Crayola Supertips - BUY HERE
Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pen - Dark Sepia fine liner - BUY NOW
Sakura Gelly Roll - white gel pen - BUY HERE
Pigma Micron - black fine liner - BUY HERE
Uni Emott - coloured fine liner - BUY HERE
Zebra Mildliner - dual-tip highlighter - BUY HERE
Pilot Frixion Colours (erasable) - BUY HERE
THE TAPE I RECOMMEND
Tipp-Ex Mini Pocket Mouse - 6m corrective tape - BUY HERE
Crafter's Companion - double-sided sticky tape roller - BUY HERE
Washi tape* - EXAMPLE HERE
*Please be aware that I usually pick my washi tape up from local stores and small businesses, so I have just linked some nice designs on Amazon as an example.
THE STICKY NOTES I RECOMMEND
*Please be aware, I have a different design which I bought from a local store as you can see in the image, but the ones I have linked are for the same purpose just to give you an idea.
THE STENCILS I RECOMMEND
Stencil* variety - set of 6 - BUY HERE
*Some stencils can be used as rulers (like you can see in the image), so if you're strapped for cash, search for products that are multi-use!
STORES I LOVE TO SHOP AT FOR STATIONERY
Of course, Amazon is the likely choice for fast delivery and reasonable prices. But, there are tons of other high street and local stores you can visit to get journaling supplies, or stores you can order from online. I'm in the UK—you may not have access to these retailers if you live elsewhere, but there will be some similar alternatives!
Washi tapes and Crayola markers are in lots of pound/discount stores, so be sure to keep an eye out! Also, why not try your nearest supermarket's stationary aisle?
I hope this has helped you to find some suitable, affordable options when it comes to journaling. If you're looking for a notebook recommendation, check out my December posts regarding the Leuchtturm 1917 vs the Moleskine Classic.
As I use/purchase new items, I'll be sure to update my blog with other recommendations. If you have favourite supplies not included above, please get in touch. I might like them, too!
