ABOUT RACHAEL

"As a speculative fiction author, I believe in entertaining my readers by offering a temporary escape from reality. Whilst I aspire to write fun, addictive adventures with characters my readers can relate to, I need to write meaningful and emotive stories alongside them to explore the depths of what it is be human—in doing so, I can encourage people to also look within.

I believe that through writing we face our darkest fears, explore infinite new worlds and realise our true purpose. Creative writing helps me to understand what my purpose is.

I have a passion for journaling and quirky stationery—anything writing-related that improves my mental health. I'm an avid reader, and my hope is to share these hobbies to connect with like-minded individuals through my blog every week."

E. Rachael Hardcastle is an Amazon international no.1 bestselling author from Bradford, West Yorkshire in the UK. She blogs every week and enjoys sharing her love of journaling, stationery, reading and creative writing.

Rachael has been writing since a young age, first published in a poetry collection through high school. She released her debut novel 'The Soul Sanctuary' in 2010 under E. R. Hardcastle, then began writing under E. Rachael Hardcastle when she discovered her love of speculative fiction.

When she first hit #1 on the Amazon bestseller list with book one of her YA fantasy series, 'Finding Pandora', Rachael was overwhelmed. She absolutely loves her job and wouldn't trade the freedom and creative outlet it provides for anything. Since then, many of her other titles have reached Amazon's top 5, with three reaching #1 in a variety of genres and countries.

She has diplomas in Successful Self-Publishing and Journal Therapy, alongside a university Business Studies qualification and many other writing-related achievements. She is also a trained copy-editor and publishing coach, and now runs Curious Cat Books, an indie publishing house designed to help overwhelmed debut authors.

Rachael is currently working on projects planned for 2021, including the sequel to her her #1 Amazon children's book, 'Bluetooth & the World Wide Web' with her father, David, which they are drafting during NaNoWriMo.
